What are subscritpion websites?

Subscription components or subscription modules as they are sometimes called are designed so that you can charge your users a recurring fee for membership.  Subscription membership can be used for an online or offline service, which means you can run an online membership website with content hidden behind the subscription or you could charge for membership for your local sporting club and your members can receive their membership payments online.
